Implement strategies for initiating and sustaining technology innovations and manage the change process in schools and classrooms
My largest achievement in this coaching standard has been the actual implementation of professional learning, the Ed Tech Cafe, that I designed in my BYOD Action Plan. I explored this in my post, ISTE Teaching Standard 5: Leading Collaborative PD in EdTech and worked to iterate in Revising a BYOD Action Plan: Creating an Online PD Space. The 2015-2016 school year has been a chance to evaluate my facilitation of the Ed Tech Cafe. While the implementation has not always been a perfect success this year, regular evaluation of it has lent itself to success in the following forms.
- Collaboration among peers
- New discussions surrounding educational technology
- A path forward for future learning
I am eager to start work on improvements for next year’s model.
